2 harddrives combined? With 1 OS?

can i use 2 harddrives at the same time in my computer? do i need anything extra or special to do so?

Yeah you can, you can either have them on the same IDE cable or put them on seperate ones. On the same cable you'll have to set one hd to be slave and one to be master. The instructions with the jumper settings to do that are usually on the hd itself so it should be pretty self explanatory.

a majority of PC motherboards have two IDE connections on it where you can plug in two (master and slave) ide devices like hard drives and cd-roms each, for a total of 4 ide devices. You may need a IDE cable with 3 connectors in it if you PC doens't have one already.

Yes, it is called RAID. But I have this strange feeling it is not right for you.
