2 hardboiled eggs arent that filling

it's been ages since i made hard boiled eggs. i usually make omlets.

well, i ate 2 hard boiled eggs as a snack, and am still hungry.

probably going to have a can of tuna now.

So the last time I got arrested, they finally finished booking me in a little after 7am. I hadn't ate all night and I was starving. I had just missed breakfast and waited patiently for lunch to roll around. Lunch was finally served and I couldn't wait. It consisted of an egg salad sandwich, some cookies and some chips. It was the worst egg salad ever but I gulped it down because I was so hungry. Dinner time came around and it was the exact same thing! Stupid egg salad sandwich. I ate about half of it and was not looking forward to what the outcome of 20 guys locked in one tiny holding cell that had just consumed a massive amount of eggs was going to be. I suffered through the night looking forward to breakfast. I couldn't wait for something other than egg salad.

6 am rolls around and the breakfast cart shows up. The meals are served on plastic trays that have a hard plastic cover on them. Kind of like a cheap tupperware deal. Anyways, they hand me my meal and I can't wait for some real food. I remove the lid to my tray and guess what I found? No, not egg salad. 2 hard boiled eggs, 2 pieces of bread and some mayo. WTF??? They gave us a DIY egg salad kit!

I was in there for 2 more meals. Same thing every time. I can no longer eat anything close to egg salad or hard boiled eggs.

fwiw - I'll make a bagel sandwich with two hardboiled eggs. I'll cut the eggs in halves and pour a little oyster sauce on them. Yum!!!

what's oyster sauce taste like? i've wanted to try it for a while because i keep seeing it around. i kinda get the feeling its not actually oysters, otherwise i wouldnt be asking this

Gosh, that is kind of hard to explain, it does have oyster in it but probably not a whole lot. It's a thick salty/sweet(?) sauce. It is actually used in a lot of chinese dishes (fried rice, chinese broccoli, etc).

A bottle only costs $1-2, so my best recommendation would be to pick a bottle. It's great for stir-frys.
