Ok So I have an old pc that has an old GPU that will allow me to (i hope) run an aux device (im hoping a VCR player) through it So I can record some old VHS tapes and rip them to DVD (Its for a work thing some stuff that was recorded and now we want to transfer to DVD)

Unless im missing something or theres another way.

I want to run this old GPU alongside my current one and only use it for that purpose. the question is how easy is it to do what I want if possible at all?

Worse case scenario ill pull my GPU and drop in the old one. I need to figure out what the old one is

Is it a GPU or just a capture card?
Is it the same GPU family (ATI/AMD vs. nviidia vs. other) as your main card?
What is your OS? XP doesn't like mixing GPU drivers.

If you have a lot of video to capture, finding a DVD recorder would be easier. Or paying a service to do it.
