so i just finished building my rig and im in the process of adding an additional fan on my 212+. i have this motherboard:

http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3973#manual

so my questions are:
1. is it o.k for me to get a Y power splitter and plug both fans on to the CPU_FAN socket. will my mobo handle it o.k?
2. if it is indeed o.k to plug them both on the same socket. should i get another PWM fan or would a regular fan would do?

I just used a 4-pin molex connector fan on mine since I had an extra fan.
I've been burnt to many times splitting power for CPU fans off the motherboard header.

thanks for the tip..ive read stories about mobo's going bad cause of plugging 2 cpu fans into 1 socket. thats way i had to ask.
wouldnt plugging that other fan directly to the PSU would give it a different "speed" than the one plugged directly into the cpu_fan which is controlled by the bios? is this bad?
im trying to go for a push-pull configuration here.
