2 downloads at a time in IE

How come I can only download 2 files at a time in IE? Is there any way to increas this limit?

I've downloaded three or four files at once with older versions of IE.

I'm pretty sure the limit comes from your ISP, not from IE.
 
It's not an ISP limit, I think it's a limit within IE. There's no way your ISP can limit the total number of downloads you're doing, they can only limit the traffic you use.

Did you try opening up another instance of IE and trying it once you already have two files going?
