When will idiots realize that illegal border crossings are illegal in and of themselves? If someone breaks into a bank and starts sweeping the lobby, should we just let them be?

People kill people. Conservatives are the only ones who think this. Liberals only focus on the specific weapons, or something about their status.

oh really? if it were up to conservatives anyone could buy any weapon at any time without a background check or anything. if they truly believed that "people kill people" then they would support background checks.

Are they legal for the government? Equal protection under the law, so yes.

edit: and no, because people will kill people with or without a gun, so what does a background check accomplish other than an excessive government intrusion. What it may accomplish is just more black market gun trade, or someone robbing another for their guns to commit their intended crime. People kill people.

I thought it was good men going after illegals that put Jesus on the cross. But who can blame them. He made terrible threats that they would be judged by how they treated the least among us. Can you imagine living in a world where people took that kind of thing seriously?

I think you just logic-boofed yourself there, because your platform that is all for human rights and the rights of illegals (sounds contradictory when you say that phrase) DO have provisions for those out of wedlock kids. Abortion.
So you argue for the rights of people who knowingly break the law and make up a relatively large percentage of crime, yet deny the most basic right, LIFE, to people who have no illegal intent or capability of crime? Good to see that hypocrisy isn't only in the church I guess...

I'd argue that no crimes should happen, regardless of someone's citizenship status. Yes, our immigration needs tremendous reform, and yes, we need to find a better way to keep people from illegally immigrating to this country. But simply highlighting crimes committed by illegal immigrants as a way to paint them all as murderers and rapists is intellectually abhorrent. As you said, our own citizens commit plenty of crimes; why do people try to focus solely on those committed by illegal immigrants?
