2 CDRW on same PC?

Right now I have an HP 9100 IDE 8x4x32x CDRW and I'm using CDRWIN 3.8, Nero 5.5, and Roxio EZ CD Creator 5.0. Now I'm planning to buy a LiteOn 40x12x48x for faster data and audio burning with Nero 5.5. But I have doubts that CDRWIN 3.8 and EZ CD 5.0 will support the drive. Is it possible to have both CDRW on same PC and use Nero 5.5 for both drives (doesnt seem like I'll attempt to burn on both CDRW at same time, if even possible) and CDRWIN & EZ CD 5.0 on my old HP CDRW? Anyone had any experience on 2 CDRW on same PC? TIA

Uhm, stop using cdrwin, and stop using roxio.

Nero burns .bin/.cue, and can make images... no reason to ever use ezCD creator, and if you need to you can use CloneCD for copying purposes...

or, you can keep your slow 8x and have 2 burners at once (yes it works)

I dont think he cares about using both at once... (as burning everything on the 40x would still be faster). he just wanted to know if they could be used independently, all of those apps should work in that way.

With programs such as Nero, CloneCD, FireBurner, CDRwin you can choose what drive you want to use to burn CDs - but you'd have to choose the drive after starting those programs... I'd guess EZ-CD might let you also choose the burner you wish to use - but who da hell wants to use EZ-CD? 🙂
