! have like 10 Lan connections in my house.....Would that decrese the internet speed on one 10 times???

I am using a cable connection 128ks which is rs 2100 per month
A 256k connnection is a madness Rs 10000+ per month

If i put 2 cable connections of 128 ks each in my house on seperate computers, will the speed dbl?

I'm a little confused on your setup, but I'll try to answer anyway. I doubt plugging in another computer will mean full speed on each. Most likely, the speed for your whole house is determined upstream of the house. If you plug in another machine, it will probably split the bandwidth between the computers, not increase it.

i meant 2 broadband internet cable connections of 128Ks each.... If i have 2 cable modems on 2 seperate comps on a netwrk, would that dbl the speed of the entire network??? I find that cheaper than increasing the bandwidth on 1 modem.....

Also what is unserratio my ISP is charging me double for a 1:10 connection......same speed....iu currently have a 1:20 connection

thanx 🙂

hatim, having 10 computers sharing a broadband Internet account would not decrease the speed 10 times. The only time you might see a decrease in speed is when 2 or more computers are sending or receiving data at the same time, which doesn't happen all that often unless you're doing a lot of downloading of large files. I'd try it with the single 128Kbps cable modem account and see how you like the speed.

Without ISP cooperation there is no real straight double. However the following solutions make the use of two connections more efficient.

The following are the two options available for Ethernet:
