son has a computer that had XP home, been formatted and XP pro put on it, but when booting, stops on a dos screen and lists both home and Pro and you have to select op you want, but Home isnt really there, anyone help me get rid of this "homeXP" option ?
 
Start/Run type "msconfig".
Select the "BOOT.INI" tab.
Click on "Check All Boot Paths".

You should be given a choice to get rid of an invalid option in boot.ini. Choose it.
