2 balls, 2 strikes, 2 outs, 2 runs, 2 men on, 2nd half of 2nd inning & 2nd base empty

Saw this while watching the game last night and thought it was pretty neat. Probably the only one who thinks so but wouldn't be the first time.

*******EDIT 4/15*******

DAMN! So close, the Phillies just needed 1 more run to make it complete. Funny that Rollins was at the plate for this one too.

*******EDIT 7/23*******

FINALLY! 2-2 score, 2 outs, 2 balls, 2 strikes, 2 men off, 2nd half of the 2nd inning & 2nd base occupied.... and it's Jimmy Rollins at bat AGAIN! (from the right side this time) Would have liked for it to be with 2 men on but I'll take this and be happy.

As a fellow baseball nerd, I can appreciate the OP's noticing of this. I am sure the Elias Sports Bureau could tell us how many times this has happened before. They know all.

Heh woulda been neat if the score had been 2-2 as well.

I remember watching a game last year when Halladay was pitching and on his first at bat in the 2nd it was the same coincidence except I think men were on 2nd and 3rd instead of 1st and 3rd, but the score was 2-2 in that game. Wish I would have snapped a picture of it on my cell phone but was down the shore and pre-occupied with conversation at the time. I do remember pointing it out and others just going "meh" lol

Holy shi....

2 teams were playing against each other....
Batter has 2 hands and 2 feet

It was Rollins' second at-bat of the game. Rollins' number is 11 (1+1=2). Hamels was on first base. Hamels' number is 35 (abs(3-5)=2).

Annnnnnd..

Larry Vanover was at home plate. I didn't take notice of it the first time, but his number is 27.

Tonight's Reds/Phils game is going into the 17th inning, even though the score is 4-4 if it gets to the 22nd I'm gonna be all over that!
