Just installed this chip, 245fsb at 2326 mem, with Mushkin pc3500 level2 trying to see if she will dance at 250/200 or better, so far so good. And they said the 2.8 wouldn't go :D Water chilling will be next if it dosn't go 4 more fsb.
Specs:
1.60v
P4p800
Bios 1009
Mushkin as above
TI4600 Asus
29160 AHA
Quantum atlas 210k
SBLive value
Netgear Nic
Edit All done with it now/ it runs at 257fsb stable at 3601. Will boot into windows at 3616 but not stable. Vcore is 1.65 and water temp is 56f...

I'm having a few quirks with the mem timings/ More because I am new to this setup I think, than any fault of the board or components themselves. I have it at 248 fsb (3473) with mem at 2,2,2,6,8. I am still sorting out the mem timings, and if this is as far as she goes on air... then its gonna get chilled :D

NIce Big Lar!!! I am looking at the same board for my future 2.6 or 2.8c purchase....

Can you list the specs of the chip for me??? I have a theory about week 21 or greater chips reaching 3.4ghz+ and I want to see if it is right...

I have 3 2.4C's all retail cooling. 1 (Mal) in a IC7-G that is at 275FSB 1:1 3.3gig, 1 (Cos) in an IS7-E 275 5:4 3.3gig, and 1 (Cos) in an Asus 800-VM board that I am using software to OC so I am limited to my ram since there is no divider, it is at 250 1:1. The two that are at 275fsb will boot into WinXP pro @ 300mhz 3:2. I decided to stay at 275 since it is plenty fast enough for my needs.

no i dont really believe it matters. but every once in a while you will see a pattern. like when all those awesome chips were comin from outpost but from different plants.....

my 2.4b @ 3500mhz is a SL6RZ-3252 ~ which is a costa rica
my 2.53b @ 3500mhz was a SL6S2-L248 ~ which is a malay

I hate that, sorry. I figure if it's operating in specs, then you got what you paid for. I just couldn't do that to GG or NewEgg, who both pprovided me with excellent service, and my P4P800-D is a prime candidate for just such a return.

I've been hearing more and more stories of people taking their 2.8Cs up to 3.5 (on air even), and thinking they're good o/c'ers. My 2.4 does 3.4 on air, but won't go much higher without a significant increase in VCore.

Hello fireends, This 1's a Costa Rica. Guess I havn't found the top end on it yet/ running stable at 3552 @ 1.6v(254fsb). I don't agree about the return thing either/ always kept what I got, good or bad. What I found that is surprising to me, is that the temp swings so much on these chips, at idle when on air, it would be about 25c, but as soon as a significant app was opened, it would shoot up to 32c, odd, anyhow just cooling it off has made a huge diff.

Big Lar, that is an awesome chip. I bought a 2.8C hoping for similar results. Best stable OC is 235 fsb. I may try H20 and see what that gets me...

The H2O sure does help, @ 255fsb now at 1.6v thats as high as it will do a cpu bench in sandra at this voltage, may up it a tad and try higher a bit later. Cpu temp at idle is 66f and under stress running Serious Sam demo, goes to 77f.

I meant what is the week of fab as the number listed on the chip...I don't care about where it was packaged just when....Thanks for the updates though!!!

This is the first board I've had, that ctually registers the same voltage in bios, as it does to my bios setting, and that mobo monitor shows. Yes, 1.6v default got me to 240 fsb. Just a for the record, then I am done running this cpu up, I have it at 1.65v now at 3601, of which I was able to run a Sandra cpu bench, and have screen shots. It will also boot into windows at 3616, but will not run any intensive tests. All this is at a 5/4 ratio. I had to lower my water temp to 56f to do it tho.

No. I use sandra for a cpu test, and mem tests, Memory is fine/ it does 220fsb at1:1 with no prob. I also run some loops with serious sam demo, to me, if it runs that with no probs/ its good to go.
