Intel released the 2.8 ghz dual core sossaman a few days ago and nothing is said about it. Isn't it suppose to one of the fast chips released. It is same core as the duo core, but with 800 mhz FSB.

wow that is news i gess hiting 3 ghz on that CPU would be easy.
I said it before But an Extream editon has been hinted by intel from its Core Duo line.

Easy, because it isn't Sossaman, it is Paxville (dual core Xeon, Smithfield derivative) crap:

PetNorth is right,

No P6 chip has been officially clocked past 2.26GHz, and the Core Duos are looking more around 2.0GHz neighbourhood. 2.8GHz is probably either referring to Paxville, or Woodcrest that is coming in Q4-06.
