That's how freakin long I've been a member of this place (counting the 6 or so months before fusetalk)

2.75 years
33 months
990 days
23,760 hours
1,425,600 minutes
85,536,000 seconds

7.2% of my time here on earth

No, this isn't a post saying "i've been here longer than you" but i just realized my membership here has been one of the biggest "commitments" i've had in my life, the biggest being a baseball league i played in for like 6 years. Hell I haven't even had a relationship last that long.

This place must be pretty damn good to get me coming back on almost a daily basis. The best part is probably the good people i've met, and the things I've gotten out of this place. More than I can count...and not just hot deals!

I was pondering this in my javascript class today (cause i was so bored and i knew everything that was being taught). Food for thought :Q What about some of you long time members who are still teenagers? 10%+ of your life!

In the spirit of neffing (cause this is a nef),

Being a member here doesn't mean you're here every moment of the time you're a member, so being a member for 10% of your life doesn't mean you've spent 10% of your time on earth here. ;)

Regardless, it's too much time. :p

i know...and playing on a sports team or something for 6 years doens't mean you played baseball for 6 years, but its still a 6 year commitment.

just seems weird to me for some reason. ~3 years is a long time when you're 20

one sec, I'm thinking over your math.
Oct. 1999 + 1year
Oct. 2000 + 1 year
Oct. 2001 + 1 year
Oct. 2002 + 3 months
Now + 6 months before fusetalk
-----------------------------------
3.75 years

Isn't that right?
