Thugs and Abit... just doesn't sound right together, does it.... 😀

Thugs & Mikki, I happened to like the "funkiness" of BH-7... hehe.. :Q😕😀

I'd take a BH7 over a P4PE....😉

Alright maxSe, you just lost some cool points....😛 j/k bud....not my cup of tea I guess....I dig those silver ones Albatron is selling tho, and I've seen a black one that's pretty sharp....😉

It is a nice board, I don't really care for the color of the board though... me and orange don't get along to good! Hehe
By the way, I am in a Radio Shack typing this right now... I hate being away from my rig, but I had to check in and see how you all were doing.

Heh... Though I wasn't *thrilled* with its color, I think it's still whole lot better than the puky yellow PCB used by Abits of old (hmm.. I *think* there's another manufacturer that still uses them.. 😛😀).

Yeah, I like those Albatron ones also. I think my favorite would have to be a black PCB (big points for my IT7 Max2... lol...). 🙂

LOL... PJ is officially addicted to AT! 🙂

PJ, lol! That's hardcore bud, I know a good doctor...😉🙂

maxSe, how bout the green pcb's of old? 😛 I'd probably be more interested in colors if I was into windows and lights...🙂

i never cared what color they are either ~ Asus brown or Intel green was always fine with me.

but Abit orange has to go! 😉

If the best in the world was hot pink, I'd have to think hard about it...or get the spray paint out....😛

i liked the old 3dfx commercials best 🙂

"we make the fastest computer chip in the world and what do we do with it? ......why, play games of course!"

😉

Thugs, do you think with PC3200 or even 3500 you could have pushed more than 160 fsb?

Or is that chip at its limit?

COol thugz, i have the same setup right now, running at 2.89 GHZ running PRIME95 overnight...

Wish me luck.. This is stock voltage and retail HSF.

😀

Bumped voltage 5%

Now at 165 FSB, 2.98 Ghz, looping 3dmark and what not...

166 is 3ghz correct?

I am however checking temps in the BIOS immediatley after i run Prime 95 and seeing temps about 50C may-b 52.. i hear Abits are off about 5 degrees so i figure i can be at 3ghz safely...

😀

Let me know...

Let me know...

Abit always runs .4 fsb higher than stock... 😉 sooo, 166fsb = 2.995. 🙂 Just go right up to 167fsb (or 170 if you're feeling lucky.. 😛). You should be alright. The temp looks about the same as my SL6EF, so everything looks good so far~

Cool... 😀

I am now running 167 FSB = 3.05 ghz.. 🙂

I looped 3dmark benchmark 10 times and am now running metest 86...

I consider this CPU to be half decent and still think it might have more in it, however it is not my system and i just wanted to make it to 3 for the kid...

I'm in the Club!

😉

I just dropped in a new SL6EF from Newegg into my Abit BH7 (6+ hours of Prime95):

162fsb......2925MHz @ default setting (BH7 undervolts, 1.488v actual)
172fsb......3105MHz @ +5% (BH7 undervolts, 1.575v actual)

I leave it at the BH7 default of 1.488v/2925MHz with Corsair XMS3500C2 512MB running 433MHz @ 2/2/2/5 (CPU : DDR ratio 3:4)

With my ThermalRight SKU-900U, ambient room temp 21C, average temps:

36C Idle
48C Load

😀
