I've heard that you can't run pc3200 memory at 400 speed with a 533 cpu. Is this true, or are the proper ratios available using the 533 setting? Does the abit is7 offer memory ratios such as 4:5 for running memory faster than the cpu setting? Thanks to all who reply.

unfortunately this is true for the IS7. in order to run PC3200 at its default 400mhz while using a P4B (533mhz fsb CPU), you would need a 2:3 divider. and the only dividers offered when the N/B strap is set to 533fsb are 1:1 and 4:5. while i don't have the most recent BIOS, no support has been added for a 2:3 divider for a P4B chip since. well at least there's a 4:5 divider, which is better than nothing...

Guess I'll have to run with 4:5 and 166 fsb for the cpu. I was trying to find the asus p4s800D with sis 655fx chipset, but the board is special order only.

you're better off staying with an 865 or 875 chipset for the P4 anyways.
