too bad the vid card isn't a radeon 7500, but a 1st gen mobile radeon instead.
and that's a desktop cpu, so beware of short battery times.

other than those 2 points, it looks pretty good.

I saw them at our local Aldi's. They look like they're about 15lbs and 3" thick 🙁

I'm exagerating of course, but they're pretty thick. They kind of look like thoes cheapee Fujitsu notebooks they sell in Ma&Pa computer stores.

For those of you who made fun of me last time I posted a deal similar to this, the deal is back.

And just like last time you didn't put the weight and size of the unit either

Thats because the weight and size arent listed so I was unable to post it. I havent got the money to pick one of these up right now or I could personally tell you the size and weight.

What a bunch of crybabies.

Search around on the forums (and also on usenet) and you'll see many people who bought these and are very happy with them.

I think I may have heard something about processors like that eating up your battery power like mad. Is that true?

Looks good!

lol @ food stamps

california doesn't have adi or whatever =(

not too sure being a college student, i can go out and buy groceries and a laptop at the same time or store.

interesting concept though. Gateway stores should sell groceries, then maybe their stock would go up.

Actually the Chicagoland Aldi's did carry these the last time... However, to say aldi carries these is inaccurate. These are mail order, so you go in and pay for it and it will arrive sometime next week or so.

The one catch the last time was that you ad to pay cash. No credit or checks.

"Where would a person get another battery for this notebook and how much would it cost, just wondering"

I was wondering the same thing, Idone. Anyone?
