That's the point of the SofU address. I would think it's a good thing that the President relies on "democracy" and "freedom" when giving a speech. That's what it all comes down to anyway.

So I guess you don't mind if people poke fun at it then...

I mind when people banter this President for certain things that every President has done and will continue to do.

You can't compare him to other presidents. His ability to give speeches is very very poor. He mangles the language. Finally, his rhetoric is even more simplistic than normal and he resorts to repitition far more than normal.

This speech was delivered quite well. I think that freak pelosi mangled more sentences in her little tantrum that Bush did during his whole speech.

Very very poor? He's definitely no Bill Clinton, but he isn't nearly as poor as some make him out to be. Irregardless, that doesn't eliminate the ability to compare speeches

I thought he started rather well, but then he kinda lost his charisma in my mind. Either way was fun to keep count. Did anyone keep track of what the Democrats said after teh speech? Cause that could have pushed a few of us into commas with all the drinking combined lol!

It's difficult to speak in front of a camera while gritting your teeth! ;)

Yes he's very very poor. He sounds like an idiot. And I didn't think that about Bush I. Even commentators like David Brooks recognize he's not great at giving speeches.
