Guys I have an opportunity to buy either a Klipsch Promedia 2.1, an Altec Lansing ATP3, or an Altec Lansing VS4121 setup.

Which do you guys think I should spring for? I've heard good things about all of these.

Thanks for your input!

Go with the Klipsch if you don't mind spending the extra cash...

Me? I got mine on sale for somewhere between $150 and $180, I can't really remember. But that was two or so years ago when they usually went for $249. Now its easy to find them for $149 as a normal price (Both BB and NewEgg have them for about that).

The guy I was going to buy the Promedias from is not selling them anymore. Should I buy the VS4121 over the ATP3?

Any other good setups under 100 bux.

I listened to klipsh promedia 2.1 and logitech z220 before I got these Cyber techs. Sounds better than the logitech and just as good as the klipsh. Read the reviews on newegg. You can get them shipping free at radio shack for 79 bucks. Best speakers for the money and more believe me. Very heavy high quality speakers, phenomenal sound.

I've been using the ATP3's for a long time and they're pretty good for the $50 price range. I think between $50 and $100 you'll find much better systems though.

ditto. check out new logitech 5.1 setups.

i have the ATP3 and it sounds great if you place them correctly... bass is heavy, and the satellite is one of the most unique designs that i've ever seen

the only drawback to the ATP3 is the lack of headphone jack on the satellite. you can even adjust treble and bass on them.

best i have seen for money was aura aspect30, only around $30 and sounds much better than kilpsch for highs and mids. there was an optional subwoofer called aspect40, which really sucked. the only problem is these speakers are the hardest things to find - you wont even see them on ebay :(
