2.1 or 4.1 speakers

Sorry about last two posts-accident!

Need advice if I should go for Logitec Z360(2.1) or Z540 (4.1)speakers for my study.

Is a fairly small room 2 metres by 2.5 metres and using Hercules fort II sound card. Mostly for gaming and just a bit of music. Not movies.

Which speakers would be best for this size room would the Z540 be ok or will they be non effective in a room this size??

My room isn't much bigger than that, and my z540s sound great in it, btw whats a metre?

Go for the 4.1! In a room that big you can definately get a great 4.1 surround sound going on.

Why just 4.1 though? On a budget? Nah.
I'm waiting to buy the Creative Inspire 5.1 Speakers. KICK SOME ACE.

I have some California Acoustic 4.1 Speakers, and they rule. But whatever floats your boat

Thanks for your help guys will go for 4.1. Yes I am on a budget and I am limited to what I can buy in Perth.

I can get the Z540's for $149 AU which is best price around for mid range speakers. I would have loved the z560 but to expensive at over $400Au.

Creative 5.1 to expensive and can't find california accoustic in perth as far as i know.

By the way metre(Australian ) is 3 foot 3 lol.
