That doesn't really change anything kit's still represent a better value, not that the Axioms would be a bad choice.
 
I don't disagree with you about the value. Its just not for me.

I'm much more comfortable purchasing something assembled and reviewed. I'm a clutz with tools, and really don't have the extra time for assembly.

If something doesn't sound right or is unsatisfactory, I'll know I'm not the culprit. That is worth extra money to me.

Now if you have recommendations to go with that receiver for a sub/center/bookshelf I'd love to hear them!
 
Well I've been looking mostly at raw drivers, DIY designs, and kits lately but give the KEF iQ series a look, as well as the AV123 X Series I know YOyo has experience with them.

For the sub the SVS PB10-NSD might be the best ~$400 sub out there if you can fit it into your budget.

I think your choice in receiver is a good one.
 
I've been reading reviews on the PB10 and it seems the winner, but DAMN, 62$ shipping for that sucker! That puts it at 500$, but still reasonable.
