1TB SATA WD Caviar Black Internal Hard Drive $95 shipped (+ tax for some)

Nice find. It is about time that these started hitting the $100 mark. This is the third time I have seen them around $100. In case no one knows, these really are some of the best performing 1TB drives on the market. I recently bought 4 of them for a RAID array when they were on tigerdirect for around this price.

Thank you for the info. I've been waiting for the right time to expand my storage space beyond my 74GB raptor and 40GB Seagate. This should take care of my storage for sometime now.

GODDMMIT

i've been holding out for the looooongest time for this price point and caved JUST LAST WEEK for 109 shipped from amazon.

:disgust:

Does anyone know if you can take the drives out of the case and install it internally? I've seen some great deals on externals.

It's an internal drive.😀

Western Digital External Drives look like this.

awesome, scored one for 99 shipped and taxed. second coupon doesn't work but it showed up 5% discount and free 2nd day shipping for me.

wait, looks like both coupon's working.

Hmm I guess shipping does show up free but with tax it's just as cheap to buy it from ZZF... Sigh... Oh well.

I grabbed one of the little 250 x 2 Buffalo "Mini" NAS's a Caviar Black 1TB drives for $260 after tax. Not a bad deal.

I know the "mini" link stations are expensive per gig but their performance is actually better than a lot of bigger ones and they are silent and low power consumption. Not bad for a little Raid 1 backup for pictures and stuff around the home.

If you're in CA the Dell deal is only slightly cheaper. Damn Newegg having to charge tax in CA...

Sometimes ZZF will have the same drive for about the same cost. Dunno where they are based tho.

Good deal on these! They are now $99.00 at the Egg also :
Western Digital Caviar Black
with free shipping-hopefully thier packing issues are over.

They're OEM, so....
But it's the egg, and Dell is +8.5% tax for me, so the egg wins. (After all, they have great service if you need it.)

Ah, I didn't realize the Dell deal was for retail drives 🙁
I'll have to go with these then, for a $5.00 difference I'd rather have the retail:thumbsup:
either way, some great deals on drives now 🙂

I don't see any signs that the Dell deal is retail. It doesn't seem to say "retail" anywhere. Also, their "what's in the box" popup shows only the drive - no cables, brackets, software or manuals. That isn't definitive, but...

I called Dell and was told that they were the full retail kit. Guess I'll find out for sure on Friday 🙂

Got my for about $85 shipped around Christmas time thanks to 30% cashback on Ebay from Live.com. Very happy with the drive - quick and perfect.
