I will never again trust any rebate through TigerDirect. I highly recommend avoiding any rebates offered by TigerDirect at all costs!
 
Very good price on the drive. Only 2 cheaper on pricewatch, and one of those is OEM White Label and the other is refurbished.

But budafied needs to check his math. World population is more than 688 million...
 
and Texas would be a serious downgrade for me

though probably better than jail (I'm just guessing on that, maybe its not)

 
I would guess the rebate is through Hitachi. It's the same form as the 500GB HD I bought from Newegg. They have a bunch of different rebates tailored to different vendors.
