1st year physics problem, help : )...kinda urgent.

the answer the book gives is 1.8 x 10^2 or 180N for one tension and 2.4 x 10^2 or 240 for the other one.

What I tried to do

3 forces, ft1, ft2 and fg.

Ft1x + Ft2x = 0
Ft1y + Ft2y + Fg = 0;

two unknowns, Ft1, Ft2, two equations. you should know what to do

all I can say right now is to break it up into X and Y components (the Forces), and in one equation solve for one of the tensions and substitute it into the other equation. Don't have any pencils with me so I can't work it out, but that should work.

Seeing this problem makes me cringe, seeing as I am now in AP Physics and apparently have forgotten everything over the summer...
