1st Time Build PC - HELP !!!!

Thanks for coming in. This is my first time building a computer for myself. I wonder if the components I bought are compatible to each other. Would anyone be generous enough to confirm this? By the way...I have an existing Antec 350Watts Power Supply. Is it sufficient enough to support the listed components, or should I buy a new,stronger one? And another thing is that....Which heat sink for the CPU is recommended? Is there any special deal going on, or particular website that I should check out for certain thing?

One thing that I'm concerning now is the Memory brand drifference. Will the Crucial and Kingston work together fine? I checked the CL value and they both are "2.0" . However, the Crucial voltage is at 2.8 while the Kingston's running at 2.6 ? Will this cause any potential problem under normal & overclocking conditions? Please advise...

Looks fine to me except you might have a memory issue. Did you only buy one of the kingston sticks. It would have been better to buy all the same kind. I believe you need to have 2 of each to run in dual channel mode otherwise it won't work. Mixing dual channel with regular might not give you the performance you are looking for. But I am not a memory expert maybe someone else can sound in on this.

Well if I put the Crucial 1 Gig. (512x2) into the A1 and B1 banks, wouldn't that run in dual-mode itself? Or would it adjust to run along with the single Kingston piece on the third bank? If I purchase another identical Kingston (1gig), and install it on the last memory slot. Will the four pieces run in dual-channel mode, or I have to sell off my current Kingston and then go to Newegg to buy a new pair-set of 2Gig (2x1gig) Dual-Channel Kingston memory? I'm a bit confused...so please help me out.

Instead of just linking eveything, at least put what each item is in the link description. We don't want to have to open 10 different links to see what your building with.

I did look at the VC you chose, and I personally wouldn't even begin to try and run that on an Antec 350W.

Ahh, much better.

Let me first ask why you are going with S939. I'm not necessarily knocking the decision (because it does have its merits), but with your CPU/RAM/MB choice, I don't think you're saving much money over a C2D system.

I know...that's why I feel like shiet now after a couple days of research & reading people's comment. I only saved $100 by getting X2 2.2 Gig instead of buying a Core 2 Duo. And on the other end I spent another $116 for a second "1gig" memory, doesn't make sense at all when ask myself that question . But anyway...what's done has already been done. I don't want to bear the 15% restocking fee at Newegg. May be I was so anxious to get a new computer fast...I think that'll cost me another motherboard (and may be memory too!) if I decide to upgrade the CPU later, but for now I think I'm pretty much stuck with the 939 socket.

Anyway, does anyone have any additional advice on the memory compatibility & performance part?

For starters, S939 systems don't like using 3 sticks of RAM. They want 1, 2, or 4 sticks. Many S939 boards will not even boot with 3 sticks of RAM installed. Your's might work, but it will be far from ideal. My suggestion would be to at least return the 2x512 RAM, 1 GB will suffice for now. You can always buy a second 1 GB stick if wanted later on.

The TT Typhoon is a very good HSF, so that was a nice choice. I wouldn't even try reusing your old Antec PSU. I think you could have bought a better PSU for the around the same price, but that TT should be fine.

Last, and you probably have already figured this out, but ask questions BEFORE you buy from now on.
