1st OC, so far so good

With the aid of Zebo's excellent OC guide and other threads i this forum I have started my first overclock. Here are the specs:

Asus A8N-sli
3200+ Winnie
2x512 Twinmos value RAM
XFX 6800GT
Hiper 520W PSU

Overclocking so far:
CPU/FSB 245x10
RAM: 333 divider with 2.5-3-3-6
V-dim 2.9
V-core 1.55

Initially I was very happy to go past 2.4 ghz, but as you may know this stuff is addictive!
Both the RAM and FSB seems to have potential for further OC, but the processor becomes unstable when pushing 2,5 ghz. Raising voltages seem to do little or nothing. The temp at load is around 45.

Have I simply hit the chips max potential, or do any of you see possibilities for further improvement?

Lookin' good 3800++ for 3200 price haha.. glad I could help. Maybe it's a newer winny which deosnt go much past 2.4? I would definity sit there since it looks like you got porcessor dialed in. If you hav'nt already, try and tighten memory up a little. 2-3-2-8 1T should be your goal with that ram.

Keep your volts. Then try:

2.5-3-2-8 1T, if that passes memtest tests 5 and 6 a few times try 2-3-2-8 1T

I have tried tighter timings for my RAM with little success. If i lower either of the first two (cant remember the names) down to 2, the computer fails to boot and I have to reset the CMOS (or whatever that pin thingy is called).

But I'll try your suggested timings when I get home from work.

My Corsair Vaule Ram does the same thing. Mine is set to 2.5-3-3-6 1T also. On lowering one of the first three vaules the computer just doesn't boot and my bios goes back to default. This is with 2.5v - 2.7v no difference
