Hey Mr. Hot Deals, I have a good question for you (or who ever else might know). Are you familiar with Sears' "Product Protection Plan"? For that camera, it would cost 15% of the price, or $93.00 for total replacement for two years. They have stopped restocking that camera due to the grey market price match issue. I've heard they'll swap the unit out for a "comparable" product if they don't have the exact one available. They'll refund the purchase price as a last resort, or so I've been told. First of all, if they refund the purchase price, would they refund the cost of the PPP? I called the local Sears, and the kid I spoke with didn't know! Just emailed Sears about it, but that will take 24hrs for a reply. Second, would you pay that $93.00 in hopes of getting the newest model in 23 months or so? I've got until 08-09-02 to decide...
