You have conlicting stats up there. 3296 initially and then 3461 down below. Are you sure you are not getting the 3461 from the regular 1 series weight? From what I have read, the 1M has had a weight reduction...a lot of that weight coming from the suspension being installed from the M3.
From a purely value perspective, the Mustang is certainly a better purchase. I'd have to drive back to back though to really see where the differences are. The 1M is a good bit lighter if the 3296 number is to be believed and I bet you could chip it for very little money to get some ridiculous performance. That being said, the Mustang is a FANTASTIC car, so I'm sure I'd be happy with either one.
ah yes you're right sorry the figures on the bottom are wrong, thanks for pointing that out. however i wouldnt be surprised if the weight was lower by a very small margin because of the wider body.
