Got a graduation gift and im spending part of it. Here are the options I can think of

1) Xbox 260 + 42"-46" LCD TV

2) SSD Laptop hard drive

3) 30" LCD monitor + something else

4) Hookers & blow

5) Grill

I dont need a phone, gps, or laptop. Im really not excited about any of these options. Any unique ideas?

What did you graduate from? (That is a lot of money regardless)

Save it for when you actually need it.

Got any debts you can pay off? If you have any credit card debt, I'd hit that hard.

ssd hard drive = waste of $$ imo, unless your work buys it or something like that.

Take a trip!

Saw your location, I would save the money and get the hell out of there. Use the 1k toward a UHaul. :) Thank me later.

Graduated from college. The gift was a bit larger and I have zero debt (CCs are paid off monthly). The rest of the gift is being saved. This part is the "fun $" part.

I'm only 19 and I sound like a grandma: I would put it in a savings account until you actually have a use/desire for it. If you're not particularly excited about any of the options you listed, don't spend it. Put it in savings and it will accumulate interest, or consult an economist and invest (the economy's going to recover at some point, and when it does, someone's going to get rich).

Watch Cloverfield on blu-ray, My Name is Bruce on streaming.

What does a recent college graduate need to take a vacation from? $1000 won't get you very far. Travel when you can afford to do it right.

I've taken some very fun trips for about $200-300. A few days in cabin in the mountains with a few friends. Doesn't have to cost a lot.
