1Ghz P3 w/100Mhz FSB????

I was looking up on sharkey's site at the Weekly Price Guide, and I noticed a P3-1G with a 100Mhz FSB listed... I checked up at the Vendor site provided, Access Micro, and they list both a SECC 2, and FCPGA chips using the 100Mhz FSB....

Now this is the first I've heard of these chips, does anyone else have one?

With all the frustrations of the 1.2Ghz AMD I've had, It will be a pleasant and easy upgrade to a 1Ghz PIII ... I wish I had known about these a couple of weeks ago...

I was supprised to see this also. I'm after a SECC2 when the prices drop in the UK, so I'm interested in this aswell.

😉

It's ben available since cco setpping was introduced. IT wasn;t allways available that's why you didn't see it before. 🙂

NO most boards will. The multiplyer is no longer supplied by the mobo but by the chip. That is why older boards can run celerons. 🙂

um, I've got several Slot one boards here that WILL NOT do over a certian multiplier. Most notable a Abit BH-6. It will not do the 9x needed for the Celeron 900. Yes I understand that the chip specifies the multiplier, but there are alot of boards (BX) that will not do this.

Well, this might be the last upgrade for my brilliant BX motherboard... long live the king of chipsets....
