Actually I had forgotten I had ever made an account, went to create one and my e-mail address (which I've had since 1997) was already used so I requested a password change and viola. Here I am.

I actually think that I have an even OLDER account, too. Let me go look hehe

anyone try 2 separate orders and did u get both rebates? thanks

I bought one of these yesterday with a rebate that ended yesterday, and bought another one today with the new rebate. I don't anticipate any problems, I did the same thing with the 400W PSUs and they both came through no problem.

1x1GB and 2x512MB will dual channel with nForce2 only.

My new nForce4 board says do not run 3 out of 4 sticks, only 1, 2, or 4 sticks.

Mine says the same thing. Although it doesn't actually say 3 won't work, it just lists your options as 1, 2, or 4. It's an a8n5x, anyone happen to know for sure?

Also, is this cas 2.5 or 3?

This memory is CAS3, someone above said with a bunch of voltage and perhaps loosened timings elsewhere CAS2.5 will be possible.

The real question is, is this memory 1T or 2T?

Debating on this one.

Just the one GB? Or get two and get 2GB for $150?

Either way, its a killer deal as far as RAM prices go, which are ridiculous as of late.

As long as the promotion number is different, you're fine. That's the "UL-1234" type number.

I think the command rate doesn't have as much to do with memory as with the load on the memory controller, but I could be wrong. As for CAS latency, who knows? My wife's system has a Corsair ValueRAM 2x1GB kit in it rated at CAS 3 but it runs CAS 2.5 just fine at 2.6v. YMMV.

Unfortunately I live in NC, so in addition to the $7 shipping I'd get hit with $7.50 tax as well. I know that's still a good price, but things are too tight, will have to see if maybe free shipping overlaps the reduced price & rebate period at some point.

Damn the price skyrocketed. I was planning on giving my grandmother $107 so I could get a second stick.

I might just eBay this stick I just bought because what's the point w/o dual channel.. Damn

They've had this RAM on sale for months now. You might want to hold off and see if the price drops before ditching your current stick, this is probably just them responding to the AT effect and trying to make some extra money, it'll probably go back down relatively soon.

I was planning on buying it today but saw the price jump up .. drat ... $$ is burning a hole in my pocket now.

i got two sticks during the better deal and they are different chips... but they seem to work fine in dual channel in my epox nf3... they don't oc for spit... haven't tried to mix them with other memory...
