this doesn't seem like a deal. plus you have to deal with rebates. what brand is this anyway? and theres no latency listed.

1st Place: Soyo

2nd Place: Tiger Direct

No joke about Soyo. 11 months and I had to fight tooth and nail for a rebate. I will never buy anything with a Soyo rebate again.

As for the RAM. Ice cold. You can get a stick of PQI PC3200 from Newegg for $149 clean.

Apples and oranges. You're comparing a 2x512MB Newegg deal vs. a 1x1GB Tiger Direct Deal.

I'm not trying to justify buying from Tiger Direct. Just trying to point out the difference.

Exactly what I was thinking. For those with 2 or 3 slots that want to go beyond 1 (or 1.5) gig, the 2x512 doesn't do you any good.

I've used Ultra ram in the past. I've never tried to OC it, but it's always been stable and reliable and has a lifetime warranty. If this wasn't a Tiger rebate and one per household, I just might go for 2 of these.

Do you have a link? Tee cheapest 1gig stick I could find at Newegg is $161 for this. I'd be interetsed int he PQI if I could find it.

I think they could be used for dual channel, but they wouldn't be as good as a real dual channel set up
