hey bjammn

I also have msi neo2 platinum. but i have pc3200 dual channel. is that right that our mobo support only 2gb of dual channel memory and up to 4 gb of regular(mixed). About the cooler, i want to buy a new one (gigabyte 3d pro) because I have a raidmax scorpio. it has 7 freaking fans :) and I dont' know if the loud noise from those fans or THE AMD COOLER. how is your cooler? better than the gigabyte?

I'm sorry; were you referring to me when you say you have that ram in your pc?

I'm not sure but you dont get a huge difference in performance for dual channel.... it'd be better to go with 4gb than 2gb dual channel.. but i think if they are all the same brand/speed/latency they work in dual channel but id have to double check that... I like the thermaltake, its not too bad, all copper and keeps the cpu cool and quiet. Never used a gigabyte cooler so I have no idea.

This is a damn good deal; I just placed my order. However, the rebate says for valueram, not hyperx. I reccomend saving a copy of their website b/c I think this might be a trick.

At least the model number on the rebate does match that of hyperx. I would still keep a copy of the website just in case.

This ram is not working on my mobo as some of you said it would; I am getting the blue screen of death.

Stealdemon clear you bios first then install the memory, it will then auto detect the timings over, if you had other memory in there it is using old timings to the fas
ter memory!

I did go back into the bios and set the memory from SPD to default, which deactivated the increased speed of pc3200 and dual channel mode. After saving, I returned and reactivated SPD (an option other than Auto; I am not sure what the acronym stands for). Since, the pc has run all night without a hitch, and I even see the increased performance of the extra 512mb, moving from PC2100 to PC3200, and dual channel mode. Again, Kingston's site says they do not suppot my motherboard (Asus A7N8x-Deluxe (non-E version); I wish someone could shed some light as to whether or not it means the ram WILL NOT work correctly or they simply refuse to support this mobo. Thanks for your time and help!
