I got two accounts with their 3 years offer back in the day. Those two accounts are still activated, I was just wondering if others have had their accounts shut down??
 
RossMAN, I already have an account with darthworth (actually I have two). I just use 1and1 for hosting bigger files so I don't waste my bandwith on darth's server.
 
if you're close to your 3 year anniversary, it should tell you how many days you have left when you login to the control panel... says 9 days for me
 
I converted mine to a paid account. Still working great and pretty cheap. I think it's something like $4/month for 200GB.

mine is still working, and it was 3 years back in september or october. i switched to paid hosting anyways so I dont really care.
 
What a coincidence, I just received an email from 1&1 telling me that my account will expire on January 31st.

haha me too, and I think it was tied to my school account which expired.
Oh well, I stopped using it 2 years ago when my domain expired and I didn't reregister it ><
 
A month after I got my notice, my free account is still activated. Oh well, you can't beat free.
