yea yea, it has no DVI. if it wasnt for that this would be hot like pedro's head.

I'm also looking at this one. what do you guys think of it? should I just keep waiting? I gota have DVI and below 25ms.

The BenQ is gonna cost you $388 delivered, after you add in a DVI cable for $20 delivered.
You can get this Princeton delivered with DVI cable for $314 AR ($100) and save yourself $74.
Sorry, the Princeton is 25 ms.

You are comparing 16ms monitors with 25ms monitors =/

give me 25ms and DVI no DVI and I won't buy!!! 🙂

yea i like the polyview too. if you look at the CMV 19in for the same price, the box and cables are the same as well as the 21ms response time, and the reviews for it seem good the one guy said hl2 ran good.... hmm

good question... $321 shipped with dvi and response time better than 25...looks like a good deal.

yea the imagequest with 8ms looks pretty sweet, and its only like $8 more than the imagequest with 25ms. which has lots of good reviews from people gaming... the thing i wana know is how the 21ms 19in lcds for ~$320 do while gaming. from the reviews on newegg it seems like response time isnt the only factor that causes ghosting...

the princeton would be alright but i dont see the need to spend $400 and deal with the rebate when for $309 OTD you could get the polyview or CMV models that also have dvi+cable and have a lower 21ms response time. the hyundai with 8ms is looking really good actually...it tilts, has no speakers, has a nice thin frame, 3yr warranty, and of course the 8ms.. and still doesnt break $400 shipped

This really is amazing. 6 moths ago these same monitors would all have costed well over $450 and people would have been all over them. LCDs have dropped so much in price though that there are easily 20 different models to choose from in the $290-350 range and all of them seem be pretty good quality. I think i will be waiting till after i get my taxes and perhaps then i can pick up a 19 for around 250 if i find a great sale.

All you guys who are saying you gotta have <25ms response for gaming, you should do some homework. The marketed response times on these LCDs don't mean jack as there is no industry-standard method of measuring it nor do they even say what the response time is for (there are quite a few different relevant response times you are interested in, not just one). Until there is an industry-standard way of presenting this information or you are given all of the response times and you know what they mean, the only way to know if an LCD is good with gaming/ghosting is by reading reviews.

There are some "25ms" LCDs out there that are excellent for gaming and there are some "16ms" LCDs out there that ghost like a mofo. Don't make your decision by what their marketing folks say about the response times or you'll likely shoot yourself in the foot.

Jaxidian, you seem to know quite a bit about this - so could you please list and explain in brief "all of the response times" - I only know of two

Just to give you a heads up for the Hyundai, it IS a great monitor, but it is not true 16.7 mil colors, it is one of the panels that must use dithering.

is that something that the human eye can notice? Cuz if not, it's a great deal.

Matters which human you ask 😛

Umm it wold not be ideal for lots of image editing and such things.

Personally, I think its fine since I do a lot of web browsing and gaming...

I have had such a bad time with Dell (2 2005s had to go back because of massive backlight on #1 and 12 dead pixels on #2) and I really can't find anything else in the price range thats worth it, so I think I am hoping on this one.

If you need a wider viewing angle, this one stinks, its really going to be that you can't see the screen from a modest angle, so take that into consideration as well. I ahve read a couple reviews that say this panel reproduces color quite well.

Also don't be fooled by numbers, the actual gray-gray response is ~20ms usual, 10ms in some areas. This is still exceptionally fast and will leave you with no ghosting. (much faster than most monitors labled as 16 ms response)
