Saw over at VW Vortex/The Car Lounge:
All I have ever done is replace brake shoes, changed front rotors once, replaced one coolant sensor, one wheel bearing and 7 sets of tires
Sales of course. The product that I sell only requires me to be on-site for a couple of hours either doing a presentation or installation. We sell a niche product so you have to cover a lot of real estate to have a large enough customer base to work with. I cover about 7 states or a roughly 8 hour (+/- a couple of hours) one way radius from my office. Flying makes little sense as a lot of the areas I travel to would be difficult by air.

We live close to everything, take public transportation to/from work. Eventually we'll take some trips to Canadia and Kalifornia which should add a few miles.

I am putting on about the same amount of mileage as he is. About 40-50K a year.

A buddy of mine just purchased a 1997 A8 Audi with almost 400,000 km (250,000 miles) yesterday. I didn't know Audi would last that long. The thing still look good and drive great.

My dad's 98 LS400 is at 260,000+.

definetely get pics of that, what does he do that puts so many miles on it?

We (I moved back home) commute from Mission Viejo, CA (92692) to Downtown LA (90021) 6 days a week for work. Luckily we work graveyard hours (1am-noon / produce industry) so we miss all of the normal traffic that the 9-5ers suffer through.

I'll post picts tonight. The car is in San Bernadino (92401) which is 56~ish miles away on its "day off" at my sister's soccer tourney.

Why not live closer to that? That's a lot of commuting and gas usage :p

That is amazing. No oil changes, no transmission oil changes, no other service expect brakes and tires.
