1996 Dell Computer

Ok so working on a really old computer. Just need to take out the HD, format it on my PC and do a fresh install of Win 98...np easy.

So I've taken off the side panel, and the front panel...the HD is like welded in here or something. Can anyone tell me how to take out this dang HD?

I really doubt it is welded in. Sometimes Dell's are a PITA to take apart, but there has to be a way. Just start taking the case apart.

crowbar...why do you need to take it out, can't you do taht on the dell? anywho there is a way without breaking stuff but dell only want's their technitions taking it apart. take off the other side panel and see if it comes out that way, or provide some pics

take the front mask off the case then you will se 2 screws that hold the hdd
