1988 E30 M3

Holy crap, that car is just about damn perfect... Still, $17K seems a little steep for 110K miles.

particularly from the rear, the body panels look so poorly aligned it could be a transformer toy.

costs too much, you can buy an e36 m3 for around there. Or pitch in a couple more Gs and get a WRX.

most cars dont age very well. I think the only exception might be the SC300/SC400/Soarer. I dont think the E30 lines are classic, sorta like a brick with a motor in it.

110,000 miles for an 18 year old car really isn't that bad. And it has practically all new parts inside it, so it's not like you're riding on a 18 year old engine or anything.

It just really comes down to whether you're willing to spend $17,000 on an 18 year old car.

You don't ride on the engine. You're riding on a frame and suspension that is 18 years old.

Dont forget the seat cushions, horns and antenna. They are 18 years old. Even the OP is 18 years old.

And with cars it's mainly mileage that is the wear and tear factor, not really age. 110,000 miles is not very much. Besides it's in California, so there is no salt on the roads. It should have no rust.

My dream car, with an S50/52 in it. I want to get 2, keep one stock with the 2.5L and do the engine swap on the other.

EDIT: Before I get attacked, I know the original was a 2.3L 🙂
