1984 and Brave New World...

Do your own homework.

I will, however, say that both of them are excellent and which one I prefer depends almost entirely on how close we are to the summer solstice.

I read Brave New World...it was strange. Never cared for sci-fi type books, though the "soma" in that book was pretty funny.

Have to compare the two... 😛onder:

I have read both, many times, each... Do yourself a favor and read the damn books. If you really want a Cliff note for the books just go to news.google.com and you'll see for yourself what they were about.

Seriously, read the damn books. They are 2 of the best books ever written.

I liked Charlie and the Chocolate Factory more, but thats just me I guess

actually, I think this one was someone's favorite book.

both contain knowledge everything thinking voting person should know, so do yourself the favor and read them yourself.

The thing is... they're good books.

You could use Sparknotes so that you don't have to read them, but you're just selling yourself short. If you're so inclined, you can find a couple parallels to what's going on today, particularly in 1984.

Depending on how you feel about interpreting some things, obviously.

Yes I've read them. If you're cheating on your homework by not reading the books, you completely deserve a failing grade. Writing a paper is only supposed to be the assurance that you read and got something from the books; the teacher is really not interested in the actual paper itself.

No ****** way I could possibly read 1984 in the next two hrs...

I think you had more than 2 hrs originally assigned. What a lame excuse.

Agreed.

But the books take two seemingly polar opposite concepts (on the extremes) on how to govern and come to the same conclusions. That is all I will tell you, OP.

Orgy porgy!

Both great books, but it's been a time since I read them, so I'm afraid you'll have to do your homework yorself, I'm afraid...
