anyone ever removed a v8 the motor wont separate from tranny and now ive un bolted the torque converter and its all just coming forward and not allowing it to come out? havent been able to locate a repair manual either?

are you sure you pulled all the bolts between the engine and transmission?
There are a couple of dowels between the engine and trans, and they could be in there pretty good with corrosion.

I've got a repair manual for the 65 770. Swapped the 287 v8 from a 65 Classic into my 66 to replace the straight six.

I'll see if I can find the section on separating the tranny from the engine. On the swap I did I just pulled the motor and tranny together. Never separated them.

Hope this helps. Make sure you got the whole back end of the car up in the air. I'd put it up on all four corners to be safe. Ramblers are a torque tube car and the rear axle is held in place by its connection to the transmission and the engine and a pan hard bar. With the rear up in the air and the bolts out some good swift kicks on the rear axle tube ought to get the transmission to separate.
