I'm glad I'd never have this kind of arguement with my wife. She started planning tomorrow's tailgate for the Florida game last week. 🙂

War Damn Eagle!

<-- Vol fan 🙂

🙂

We're tailgating across the street from GameDay. The wife is hitting the ABC store on the way home from work then we're loading up the car and heading to Auburn. 🙂

It's not the UNC game. NC State's football stadium is directly across the street from the North Carolina State Fair. The NC State Fair is one of the biggest state fairs, and might be the biggest in the Southeast.

The Fair is always this time in October, and more often than not, it will coincide with at least one home football game.

This Saturday is vs. Wake Forest.

Gameday during the Fair is an absolute clusterfvck. If you're going to the game, you might as well go to the fair afterwards, because you ain't getting out of there any time soon after.

Your girlfriend is being stupid, much like women tend to be. 7.5 hours at the fair is enough to see and do everything there, and then some.

Go to the game and then the fair, period. The Wolfpack takes priority, and tell your GF that if she doesn't care enough to let you go to the game, then you are worthless to HER.

Besides, look at it like this: The Fair is here for 10 days, all day and until late at night.

There are only 7 home games, and they only last a few hours. MUCH more opportunity to go to the fair then to a game.

BTW, I love the Fair....I've been going since I was 2 years old and have never missed it. Just turned 41 Monday.

Well I offered to take her out to dinner to a nice place after she get back from out of town next weekend and she said we'll see and then said she had to go.

If I call her after the game and asks if she wants to meet somewhere and she says no, what do I do? Call the friend that will be with her and then find them?

Let her go...college football > *

🙂

Find a woman that likes football.

Your first alternative to give to her should have been to invite her to the game (unless she's said she hates the game) THEN say you'll meet her afterwards. If she really just wanted to have fun with you on a saturday then she would have wanted to go to the game and then the fair. That would be a cool saturday.

is her friend hot? if so yes. if not call one of her hot friends and ask her where she is. if she doesn't know, ask her if she could ask one of her friends. in which case she will call your gf.

then either you will get your gf at the fair, or meet up with the hot friend 😉

Ballgame - max of what ~3 hours? State Fair - two weeks? No brainer - football wins.

On a related note, our state fair started today as well, and we are going to the homecoming game at my alma mater tomorrow instead. GO HOGS!! 😀

Tell her you'll spend the 7 and 1/2 hours at the fair with her on Saturday if you get 7 and 1/2 hours of poon on Sunday?

OK, I have just been offered a ticket again that would allow her to sit with me. Should I ask her again? or would that not be a good idea?

...What the hell do you do at a fair during hour #5--for over two more hours--that you haven't done already? 😕

Do not miss your game. If she acts up when you meet up later, stop speaking to her and walk away. She'll crawl back.

hahaha, we are gonna mess you guys up. WFU > NCST!!!

GO DEACS

(yes, I go to wake 😛)

🙂

go to the game. I certainly would. should be a very good game

didn't bother reading everyone else's reply--but she really sounds needy to me. you did the right thing by suggesting she take a friend while you're at the game, then spend the rest of the day/night with her at the fair. then you also offered to buy her a ticket to the game so you'll both be together at both the game & then later the fair. duuuuuuuuude, i don't know how long you've been with her but long-term with this girl can't be good.

If it's UNC football game this weekend, you should go to the fair. Not much fun watching your team lose.

Against South Florida? And oh, btw....game is sold out.
Yeah, because they bribed the students with pizza and drinks to come, and sold $10 tickets.

And sold out or not, I'll bet a dollar to a doughnut that there will be thousands of UNC fans there dressed as aluminum bleachers, just like always.

The only time UNC is ever REALLY sold out is when an opponent comes to town with fans that travel well, like VT or NC State.

UNC's football attendance is so bad that their "official" attendance figures are simply a look at the crowd to make an estimate of attendance....the only school in the ACC, AFAIK, that doesn't count the actual stubs to tally attendance.
