1900 XT $525

I'd hold off getting this from Zip Zoom Fly.

ZZF might have great prices, but one of the worst RMA policies. I've had to jump through hoops to return DOA video cards and power supplies. If anyon ever had the sheer pleasure of calling ZZF's "Customer Service", you know that it just puts you on hold for 5 mins then defaults to an answering machine. They might not return your phone call for days (if at all).

Since this card is brand new, no one quite knows any neat compatibility problems you might get. And ZZF doesn't even give refunds on 99% of its inventory. So if the X1900XT somehow doesn't work out for you, you are SOL.

ZZF = bad return. I would buy from another retailer like MonarchComputer. If you must get it from ZZF, wait a month... and read the user reviews at NewEgg. 🙂

Try $599, that's the cheapest you can get one from Monarch. After adding in shipping, you're looking at around $35-$40 more expensive than ZZF, tax included. Also, based on my last few transactions with Monarch, their stellar customer service is apparently a thing of the past.

I think that was just a myth anyways. Never got anything but grief from them myself.

Good thing is that their seems to be several smaller companies breaking in that have great prices on selective items, and top notch customer support.

I'm having the displeasure of their RMA process right now! I ordered a WD 80GB SATA drive that was DOA and they have yet to respond to two RMA requests. I may have to try the dreaded phone! Newegg is definately preferable.

I ordered my XTX from digitallyunique.com... So far so good.

I hear ya! Interestingly enough, I just got my call back from ZZF -- finally-- for a message I left days ago. It is as if they are reading this forum. LOL!

Oh it gets better. The "customer service" representative can't actually do anything. He has to send a note to someone higher up to call me. Umm... why didn't ZZF just have that guy call me in the first place?

With ZZF, just pray you never have to return or RMA anything. 🙁

I still do not understand why do people willing to pay $525 on a video card just for gaming.

their system might probably be around $1500 or more when adding huge hard drive, fastest cpu, 2GB RAM or more, giant LCD or projector, huge gaming speakers

Just curious

Weird. I've never had problems RMA'ing memory (never had to rma anything else). And I've never had to call, they have an rma request form online.

Yep ZZF's customer service is some of the worst I've seen. Had a bad hard drive so I did the online RMA request. They never replied back (this was after 2 weeks) so I ended up calling them over the phone. Finally got them to issue an RMA now. Well it's been over a month now and I still haven't received my replacement hard drive but hopefully it should show up soon...website finally shows my replacement as being shipped.

Pretty good price on the video card though if you're into the best of the best.

Wow, I wonder if I get better RMA service from ZZF because I order so much from them (spent nearly $12K there in '05). They respond to my RMA requests usually within 2-3 days.

I've never had any issues with returns at ZZF. I've returned a few things now (an X800XT, some RAM, and a keyboard/mouse set) not once have I ever had a problem. They also waived the restocking fee everytime. Maybe they just like me more 🙂.

Ouch! I feel your pain. Sometimes I got the feeling emaling them was worthless. Even when they are "responsive" they would sometimes reply to email some 3 working days after you sent it. 🙁
