Hi,

I really hate to post this thread because chances are someone has already posted this. But, here is my question. I am looking into getting a 19" monitor. I am interested in getting one which high refresh rates, great clarity and one that will be easy on my eyes. (my Dr. said my computer use has hurt my eye muscles) I was suggested the Sony CPD-G400 and the Hitachi 771. What do y'all think of these monitors? Is the Sony worth the extra $100? Are there other sub-$600 19" monitors that y'all would suggest?? Thank you for your help!!

The Sony G400 is probably the best though it comes at a price. However, it is in your budget.

The Hitachi 771 is a shadow mask while the Sony G400 is a trinitron, what type do you want?

I think I'll plug my monitor Samsung 900NF and the KDS AV-195TF which are neck-and-neck trinitrons for under $450.

Yes the Sony does come at a price....a huge price. If you watn value, go for the KDs Av-195Tf which uses the same tube.

Does anyone have a Hitachi 771??? What do you think of it? Any complaints. It appears to be easier to find the Hitachi for sale on the net than the Sony. The Sony does bost some very nice refresh rates.

Can someone explain the 2 different times of flat fronts that the Sony and the Hitachi have??? I'm not familiar with the difference. :)

VladTrishkin,
becauze no 19'' NEC cant match the awesome KDS AV195TF. Samsung 900NF is equally good and cheaper btw.
