Hey I remember paying ~$1000 just for a 17" CRT that featured a Trinitron screen back in 1995! Damn I can almost buy the Dell 30" display now for that price. I hope it does get to around $900. I'd like snap one up in a heatbeat.

Now as to the deal, I was able to order it earlier today. I hope the rebate comes through.

Exactly what I did! But for worse scenario, it's still a fair price at $149.00 if the rebate doesn't go through. But if the rebate goes through, this is an unbeatable price at $112.00! So this price is either fair at worse and best at good! In short you can't lose!

Thanks allisolm, and all.When I tried to add to my cart in my zip here in So. Cal. it said not available. The CSR on phone replied it's not available in the warehouse where it ships from for my area. She checked availability at some stores, and found limited stock on this clearance item. After a few more store inquiries, finally found one at my local store available for in store P/U Monday. Fax confirmation showed PM to online price of $149.99+ tax. This couldn't have come at a better time for me,I'm very grateful. Moerover, Rossman, good to see you. I've lurked here for many years. I thought you had left us. I'm not in the loop I guess. I bounce between here and FW& some SD. Anyways, thanks all.

Might want to do it ASAP. It is already unavailable in my zipcode. At least with the free shipping, if i dont like the quality or the rebate get a negative response I'll just return it. Or better yet just complain and threaten them.

Snagged one. Thanks for a great deal. Does anybody know if you can use a printed copy of the online receipt for the rebate? The form says you can use a printed copy, I'm just not sure if you can use the online receipt or if you have to wait for the one that comes in the box. Thanks!

I was able to get one yesterday in store. They matched the price to the online price $149, and gave me a rebate form. Then the checker asked if she could keep my printout of the price from the website so she could get one at that price.

Ordered mine yesterday online, website stated it would be delivered on Tuesday. OD delivery guy showed up today (figured he would, and I was home anyways for holiday), and delivered it. Mail in rebate goes out tomorrow!

Mine has the status of "Waiting to Fill", and a scheduled delivery of tommorow, so it looks like im in the clear.

Is there anything you can do if they do cancel your order? I think someone mentioned calling them up and reinstating it.

Edit: Mine also now says "In Warehouse"
