19" LCD to 22" upgrade

I'm thinking to upgrade my current Dell 19" (1907FP) to a 22"...what's a good mid-range LCD? I'll be using it for some gaming and normal daily use (internet/MS office/IM).

What do you think about Dell G2210 and P2210?

Another question, is it a bad idea to go 16x10, because I would still be gaming (CoH). Should I expect huge perfomance loss with the jump? Check my rig..

8800GT/512mb

22" means 1680X1050 neh? versus 1280X1024. resolution wise you're actually not going up by that much, CoD shouldn't be too bad on 16X10 and 8800GT. what are the most graphic intensive games that you play?

If your the type of guy who pays attention to the finer details in games then niether of those would be a good choice

I would rather go for the LG W2261V-PF or samsung T220

COD is not a very demanding game so with your specs i think it should run just fine

I guess for now it will be CoH or when there's a new FPS game similar to crysis...in the future probably Starcraft2/Diablo3...and wont be upgrading the rig during next 12-18months...

lol..not COD...but Company Of Heroes...i read about the T220...but it doesnt have height adjustment

i like to play my games at 'high' settings...but dont really go 'ultra high'...

LG makes the best 22 inch monitors hands down. Dead pixels virtually don't exist either. They actually have quality control on what they manufacture.

Samsung makes some rockin' 22" LCDs, too. I have a 22" Samsung SyncMaster 2253BW and it has served me well for 8 months with no dead pixels either.

I really like Samsung and Viewsonic monitors, although Viewsonic tend to overvolt their displays to get faster response times (at cost of color accuracy). I'd recommend either a Samsung or an LG
