Read the rules. If you don't like the thread, it's real simple. Just move on.

What about COURTESY?

No thread crapping. If the subject matter of a deal does not interest you, do not post negative comments about it, or about other members, in the thread.

If you have specific information, good or bad, about the product, speak up!!!! But to trash a hot deal with zero knowledge is just idiocy.

Here's some impotent info that still craps on this thread - NewEgg's dead pixel policy is HIDEOUS. You're basically gambling by buying an LCD from them If it arrives with 5 or 6 dead pixel you are SOL.. Thus, any LCD deal from NewEgg is a cold one!

Also who is CMV? The unknown manufacturer is another red flag.

5 eggs ratings average with over 60 ratings is excellent. On the no-name thing: there are only a handful of manufacturers of LCD panels.

I've worked with many major LCD vendors. Newegg's pixel policy is the same as any major player. No point in whinging over it.

Newegg's policy isn't really important. It's the manufacturer of the monitor's policy that matters. Most of these cheap brands have that same 8-pixel policy, which is probably why Newegg just puts that blanket policy out there for all of them, you're just gonna have to deal with the manufacturer if they have a better policy than newegg. No site is going to swap monitors for you that have fewer than the manufacturers limits, they would just be eating the whole cost of the monitor cause the manufacturer wouldn't replace it for them.

This deal was posted here a couple weeks ago, but for some reason the thread died with stunning speed. I bought the monitor and it is excellent. The picture is absolutely great, it comes with both VGA and DVI cables, and the manufacturer's policy is far better than you've given them credit for.. from a reply I posted on the original thread:

I got this today and it's an excellent monitor. No dead pixels, comes with both DVI and VGA cables and a male-male audio cable. Also, the warranty card that comes with it states a 3-3-5 dead pixel guarantee (as opposed to Newegg's 8 pixel policy). It says they'll replace it if it has more than 3 bright, 3 dark, or 5 defective pixels, or more than 1 set of a pair of adjacent bad pixels within 1 year. It's working great straight out of the box though.

ok well then ANY online purchase of an LCD that does not allow returns is an unwise one. Stick to companies that allow returns (like Dell) or a B&M(that also allows returns with no restock fee). Buying a product that might arrive defective and cannot be returned and requires you going to the manufacturer is pretty risky. Imo you get what you deserve if it arrives bad..
