Ordered this monitor on Monday. Couldn't use the coupon because I'm already a customer.
Last night, checked my e-mail, there's a new 6% off coupon code from Buy. ARGGHHHH!!! :|

My email says that 6% Coupon is not valid for this monitor.

I would be tempted, except that this is based on two rebates totaling $100.

Won't the 16ms response time be pretty bad for any half way serious gaming?? I bought a Samsung 930b because I didn't want to deal with any problems gaming since I do some fps type games sometimes.

I know a couple people who want a 19" monitor but they will need to be able to do Some gaming with it.

I have always read that a LCD with 16ms or lower response time is best for games.

From a German company videoseven.

Link to the company and the current 19" monitors here. V7 19"
I don't see the monitor buy.com is selling, but they seem to have all the 17" ones that are listed on V7's website.
Buy.com V7 17"
V7's 17"
Just in case someone needs more info.;)

No, but I've distanced myself from anything unproven. Offbrands are not worth the risk. Wait for something like BenQ, NEC, Samsung, Hyundai to go down in price then bite...

As czech09 said, I'd stick with the better brand names.

Still that's only one of quite a few. There's bound to be a few problems, but with over 300 reviews of mostly satisified people, that's pretty good. More people will post bad reviews before they post good ones or netural ones. With that many satisified reviews against those poor reviews, I'd take my chances.... but I'm happy with my 2405fpw. I did advise my father to pick up that moniter if he didn't mind the rebates.

Got mine yesterday, and I'm pretty happy with it. :)

I'm not a hardcore gamer, so really can't tell you if Doom3 is going to play well on this thing or not, but my Cabela's Dangerous Hunts looked pretty darn good on it!!

Never really notice it in the picture, but this is a beige color, not the silver I thought it might be. No biggy, since I really don't worry about color coordinating my tower to my monitor.

All in all, I'd say this is well worth the $$$. As far as it breaking down in 6 months, or even after a year, it comes with a 3 year warranty, so should be good to go there. :)

Oh, and for anyone that thinks they're better off going thru Tiger Direct to get a product, I strongly suggest you do some research, here and elsewhere. TD is the LAST company most folks here would go thru to get something, due to their seedy rebate practises, high shipping, and bad customer service. You might get lucky, and not get screwed, but you'd bet the exception versus the rule there.

So for this monitor, I give it   :)

I received mine this morning. So far, so good. Picture is nice and I can't see any dead or stuck pixels. I bought mine on the company credit card to use at work, and don't have any fast games installed to report on.

Not bad for $200 after rebate.
