19" LCD 149.99 US

DT rebates are bad (read: you won't be getting it). So that means the first one is the slightly better deal but I haven't hear much good about that brand. Anybody w/ 1st hand experience?

I got the 109 dollar one from pcconnection. Just set it up. It's stunning. Very nice! The rebates do come through. (A friend did an earlier hanns-g monitor with pcconnection and the check came in last week, so they do pay up after 3 months or so). Add something to get the total over 249 bucks to get free shipping. The deal is for one more day unless they extend it, which is likely as they've extended it before.

are these latest LCD monitors able to handle FPS type game speed?

hows the power consumption and heat level?

compared to flat panel CRT's

*getting kind of tired of the washed out colors on my trinitron Nokia 22" CRT*

Yes, they can game...pending the MS time...8MS or lower is great...but best read review on any LCD before you buy, because a POS 8MS might look like crap gaming, where as a nice brand's 12MS LCD might look amazing gaming.
heat level = very, very, very, little
power consumption= very little check links 55W Maximum
