what is a good 19 in monitor and does anyone know of any good deals. I like games and dvd movies mostly.

Do a search within this fourm for Samsung 955df. There is a post for this 19" monitor for $211 and change after rebate.😉
 
I believe the Samsung deal is over but I may be mistaken. It was from Dell...

Also, you really should have put this in the IWANNA thread
 
i got 2 of the samsungs, one for my mom, the other for my dad... personally, i prefer my trinitron running at 1920x1440... but they're nice
 
Yeah, cool! I got the Samsung DF955 too from Dell with free shipping + 10% off + $40 rebate. Final cost was $211. This is a decent flat monitor. For just $211, I have no complaint at all.
 
I just bought the compaq p900 for $317.00 shipped from cdw. This monitor has the same fd trinitron 19" tube that the Sony CPD-G400 uses. I cant wait to get it.
 
I looked up the Compaq P900 and it looks like a good deal. Since we use CDW as a vendor, my price is $279. I've been wanting the Sony G400 for quite a while, but if this monitor fits the bill, I could easily save $220 or so. I couldn't find but one review on it, however, and they said that it wasn't quite as good as the Sony. For the price though, I think it might be the ticket for me...
 
i got samsung 955df several months ago for just over $260 after rebate -- a good deal at the time, but the price has been dropping lately and i know you can get it for closer to $200

great monitor, esp for the money!
