19" Envision Flat Screen CRT $99.94 AR/AC Staples

I looked and didn't see this posted, but apologize if it has...

Staples has This monitor for $179.94 with a $50 rebate and there's a $30 off $150 coupon at the FW site that gets this down to $99.94 + tax (free shipping). I needed a monitor fairly quickly (Staples is saying 2 day delivery) for a system I'm building, and I thought this was a pretty good price.
 
I got in on this monitor back on BF weekend, and it's a pretty decent monitor for the price. My only gripe with it is that out of the box, the picture needs a lot of tuning. The shape was all distorted and off center. Also, I personally think there are way too many shape controls on the on screen display. But once you get everything configured to your liking, it looks great.
 
would this b adequate(sp?) for gaming using a Dreamcast vga box/adapter? 'cuz i'm using a viewsonic a90f... and i was hopin' it'd b just as good so i could use it for ikaruga
 
This is one cheap monitor and very easy to resell if you don't need it yourself. I've gotten over a dozen of the 17" Envisions and no complaints. I have purchase two of the 19". You can't go wrong at $100.
 
The $30 off coupon I used worked yesterday...it was about 2 pages from the end of the large "Staples coupon" thread at FW...although you're right there are a lot of the $30 ones that said "expiration unknown" but actually expired on 12/15

i got this yesterday, but I couldn't get the 30 off 150 to work, so I just used the 15 off 150, so it came to $115, still not a bad deal IMO.

The costco that I work at sells the 17" Envision CRT for 99 dollars (which is a pretty decent deal in itself, but can be had for less). But best return policy ever!
 
Mine arrived Friday...out of the box the picture was badly pincushioned and also had to be adjusted for horizontal and vertical size and position, but after doing those adjustments, it's running like a champ and looks great...now to play the "wait for the rebate" game.
