alright, geeks has an aluminum notebook case that i KNOW i would look totally sweet walking around with and its only $19.99+$8s&h for me so i thought id pass along the coolness

Ahh... I misunderstood. Thought it was a shell to build a notebook in. I would have been impressed at your skillz.
 
haha, like i have that much time on my hand. i think if i get one, ill also get some handcuffs from the p0rn store just to handcuff it to my wrist.
 
I bought this same notebook case from the geeks earlier this year for the same price ($20). I have a Dell Inspiron 8600 and fitting that thing in there it makes for a VERY tight fit. No room for the external power supply at all, just enough room for the laptop itself. For others with relatively small laptops it may work just fine.

The case is pretty sturdy and comes with a lock & keys. It has some padding on the inside and whatnot.

If you're not going to use it for laptop carrying, might make a good mini-itx travel PC. 😉
 
oh man, mscdex....reminds me of the days fighting with windows 3.1 to recognize my cd-rom drive so i could upgrade to windows 95a
